A prickly cactus garden couldn’t stop the Wednesday Painters.

WEDNESDAY Painters went to the cactus garden across from Balboa park and produced some wonderful scenes while sitting in the shaded areas. The fun thing was it was somewhat of a family affair. June Maxion brought her daughter Cindy. In a cool spot sat Jana and her Mom doing quick sketches in the shade. Plus, we were very lucky enough that Susan brought her son Eli, and wow, what a masterful drawer was he at age nine. He wants to be a movie or film maker and he is on his way. Carolyn and Miriam, Barb Lowe and Bianca, Nick and Mike got busy in the shade on the little hill, along with Jana and her Mom who worked quickly in the cactus shadows.
