Katie, Charlotte, Veronica, Barb, Sue and I had to schlep our goodies, (our paints and stools and easels and sketch books and brushes, etc.) to the beach after finding parking spaces in Pacific Beach. It is a beautiful way to spend a day with friends, especially on the pier on Crystal Pier. People watching is just as much fun as painting there and we certainly saw our share of interesting people and heard so many languages spoken. A guy played his harmonica, people skated by, a gal was carrying her surfboard on her head while her skirt was blowin’ in the wind and babies were running around chasing the birds.
What a way to spend a day! (and thanks Veronica for some of the photos!)
Next month is our annual International Exhibition with lots of activities for us. Make sure you plan to see our fellow artists from around the globe and participate in this grand endeavor that we take on every year. Pick up tickets for a chance to own an original painting.
