Every time we come to an opening of our shows, it amazes us how many families come, (along with kids, strollers, and even doggies). We are fortunate to be in Liberty Station which houses so many galleries and artists, that we can pack them in FirstFridays, and oh, those lucky kids, get exposed to fine art early. And this month’s show is the International Exhibition, a great way to introduce art to youngsters. The painters are from around the world!
We find our vocational interests around age seven but we all know that painting, once in your blood, can be done as a hobby (or for our own sanity sometimes)! So let them come in droves bunches, groups or troops so the next generation learns to appreciate art and maybe to create their own some day. We always welcome new members and with our many workshops and paintouts, who knows, maybe the next Picasso will arise!
2016 International Exhibition Silent Auction: The International Exhibition will again feature a Silent Auction in the Library.
