Paint a tree, grow a masterpiece Sept. 9

We start September off with our very own up and coming watercolor artist Luis Juarez. Luis was born and raised in San Jose, Ca, married with four grown children. Luis painting style is very loose and free!  Now is your chance to loosen up too!  Luis style is heavily influenced by Alvaro Castagnet,  Shuang Li and  Joseph Zbukvic, just to name a few.  Luis goal in painting is to capture the mood of life. Plein-Aire painting challenges Luis to be a better painter because it helps him to observe his subject with a goal to simplify the scene.  Luis advises to take risks in your painting and be willing to accept failure.
The paintout location will be in the area of the Moreton Bay Fig Lawn, 1770 Village Place–situated between the Natural History Museum and Spanish Village in Balboa Park.
Directions:  Take 163 SOUTH and exit onto PARK BLVD.  Turn LEFT onto PARK BLVD and head North.  The Park is on your Left past the Natural History Museum.  The paintout starts promptly at 9AM with a critique at 12:30 PM.
This is Frank Francese’s painting to be raffled!
