FYI’s for your viewing pleasure!

The 18th Annual
Water Conservation Poster Show
Every year, the San Diego Watercolor Society joins with the City of San Diego Public Utilities Department Water Conservation Program in acknowledging the children (K-6) who use art to communicate the importance of water conservation every day.

The artwork of the winners of the 2018 Kid’s Poster Contest, “How Am I a Water Conservation Hero,” was on display in the SDWS gallery.

An award ceremony was  held June 1 during the First Friday Reception for the June member’s show, “Bluesy Mash-Up.” Watch for it next year if you missed it this month!

Congrats to Dan Goldman and Shuang Li for their masterpieces at the Natural History Museum California Arts show.

ALSO-

FYI: I ran across this on the internet and thought it would benefit our members who are serious artists looking to gain recognition in the land of art. Try this site and read what Jason Horejs, (owns Xanadu Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona)  has to say about the reasons why artists do not do well showing their work to galleries.
